Dr. David Brown, who has been training under Dr. Lee Dellon to become more proficient in Peripheral Nerve Surgery, has just been installed as the William C. Grabb Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Michigan. Dr. Grabb (1928-1982) was the second Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Michigan, following Dr. Reed O. Dingman. Dr. Dellon’s patient, Sonia Persia and her husband Ray, were instrumental in endowing the Collegiate Professorial Chair. In accepting this position, Dr. Brown will be the “go to” person for Peripheral Nerve problems at the U of Michigan, introducing Dr. Dellon’s teachings to the Plastic Surgery residents there and providing help for those with pain in this region of the U.S.A. Dr. Dellon provided remarks at the Installation Ceremony as noted below. Dr. Brown is currently President-Elect of the American Society for Peripheral Nerve (ASPN, peripheralnerve.org), a group Dr. Dellon helped found in 1990.
