Dr. Fabio Quatra, M.D. graduated from Palermo University School of Medicine and then completed his Plastic Surgery Residency at the Messina University School of Medicine and a Microsurgery Fellowship at the Microsurgical Trasplantation Replantation Center at the Buncke Clinic in San Francisco. He had Peripheral Nerve Surgery Training at the Dellon Institute for Peripheral Nerve Surgery in Baltimore, Maryland with A. Lee Dellon, M.D., Ph.D. He is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery. He is currently Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Villa Serena Hospital in Palermo, Italy, where he performs over 600 periperal nerve surgeries every year, on patients travelling from Italy and the Mediterranean countries. He is consultant Plastic and Hand Surgeon at the Macchiarella Hospital, Genesi Hospital, Demma Hospital and Igea Hospital in Palermo, and at the Agrigento branch of the Villa Maria Hospital Group. His research has been published in major peer-reviewed scientific journals and presented at both national and international meetings. He co-authored with Dr Dellon a chapter on “Decompression of Peripheral Nerves in Patients with Diabetic Neuropathy” for the first on-line electronic book on Plastic Surgery, edited by the University of Rome “La Spienza”-
