Dr. Shai M. Rozen graduated from Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv University after serving in the military for 3 years. He completed his General Surgery training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, where he was Chief Resident, and proceeded with Plastic Surgery training at Johns Hopkins Hospital where he met Dr. Lee Dellon. He continued with a Fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery and advanced training in Peripheral Nerve Surgery. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. His research has been published in major peer reviewed scientific publications and presented in national and international meetings. He has hospital privileges at all the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center hospitals including Zale-Lipshy, St. Paul, Children’s Medical Center, Parkland Memorial Hospital, and the Veterans Administration as well as privileges in Baylor University Medical Center.The unique environment at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center provides comprehensive care for patients including specialist in diabetes, neurology, and rehabilitation when needed.In addition to peripheral nerve surgery Dr. Rozen concentrates his work on complex facial reconstruction in adults, facial paralysis, and cosmetic surgery of the face, breast, and body. Dr. A. Lee Dellon, M.D. graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 1966 and from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 1970. He then completed eight years of additional training, including two years of research at the National Cancer Institute, Surgery Branch, of the National Institutes of Health. He completed a Plastic Surgery Residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and a Hand Surgery Fellowship at the Raymond M. Curtis Hand Center. Dr. Dellon has received the Certificate of Added Qualifications in Hand Surgery and is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery. He is currently a Professor of Plastic Surgery and a Professor of Neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is also Professor of Plastic Surgery and Neurosurgery at the University of Arizona.
