A Lee Dellon, MD received a PhD for his basic science and clinical research into the surgical treatment of compressed nerves in the patient with diabetic neuropathy. He received his PhD from the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands on March 6, 2007.

Dr Dellon is lead to the ancient hall of tradition in Utrecht University, where the Treaty of Utrecht was signed in 1597. He is accompanied by his "seconds" in the traditional Dutch Doctoral Ceremony, his wife, Luiann Olivia Greer, and a former research colleague and fellow Plastic Surgeon, Henk Coert, MD, PhD.


Dr Dellon is given his PhD diploma by Moshe Kon, MD, PhD, Chief of Plastic Surgery in Utrecht. Dr. Kon is surrounded by the Professors who conducted Dr. Dellon's PhD Defense.

Dr. Dellon stands between Dr. Coert, a Plastic Surgeon and Hand Surgeon at the University of Rotterdam in Holland, and his wife, Luiann, in front of the University Symbol.
